I want my dad to Get Out Of My LifeI just hate my dad.
I don't know if it's just because I'm a teenager or something, but I just know I hate him. He is terrible to my mom quite often and even more so to my mom's side of the family.
My parents have been arguing continuously for all my life, and I always take my mom's side. My dad has tried talking and explaining to me why he hates my mom's side of the family so much, but I never agree. Even when I tell him I don't agree, he never listens. He never listens to what anyone says, he just gets defensive and say how everyone is MAKING him be this way. It's honestly really annoying.
I remember when I was 10, my dad started giving me math and english to do in addition to my school work. I understood that he was trying to help me in my education, but there was this time when I didn't understand how to do something. My dad got so impatient and he beat me. I fought back, and it was so terrifying. I remember it like it was yesterday.
That wasn't the only time he beat me either, he's slapped me before and yelled and it was always terrible. I know my dad loves me, but I just can't form a strong connection with him. I'm so much closer to my mom, and she has told me many times how much my dad hurts her emotionally and it's really painful for me to hear that.
Recently, my dad had to go on some trip and was out of the house for about three weeks. Those three weeks he was gone was such a breath of fresh air for me, mom, sister, and grandparents.
No one in my house wants him around.
