I've just started having sex recently and I have a large penis.
The first time was fine but the second time, even after quite a bit of foreplay, she was in pain. The pain started suddenly about 6-7 minutes into intercourse.
Why is that and how can I prevent it from happening again?

Thanks for your question. Like everything else about us, penises do come in different sizes so some guys will have a large penis. As you say, this can cause problems for a partner by causing pain with intercourse. As you are new to having sex, and possibly your partner is too, this can be an issue. We don't want sex to hurt our partner.
It does help to have plenty of foreplay so your partner is relaxed and lubricated. If lubrication is an issue, using lubricant from the pharmacy can help. Maybe the sex started to hurt after 6 or 7 minutes because her own vaginal lubrication had dried up. Or maybe your position (such as doggie style from behind into the vagina) meant you were thrusting deeply inside. Not surprisingly this can be painful as the penis knocks against organs inside the girl, such as the cervix or the bladder.
Many guys and girls might think having a large penis would be great. It is often what is shown in porn. But as you are finding the guy with a large penis needs to learn to slow down with preparation for sex and be aware of how deeply he is thrusting or what positions cause problems. It is good you are asking these questions and thinking about how to help intercourse work for both of you.
